We found out that Benjamin hadn't had any seizures since 3am and that the ones he had were very short. It appears that Ben is doing better, because he is more active and awake. Some of the tests came back and everything looked normal. We're waiting to hear the results of a few others. The brain bleeding hasn't gotten any worse, which is great! He is on a tiny amount of oxygen and IV fluids.
Elaine was able to hold Benny for the first time since last night and he seemed to really enjoy that. We're trying to patiently wait for more information and a clean bill of health. Your prayers are very encouraging and helpful during this stressful time. We've even seen people praying for Ben that we don't know! How great is our God?! The Lord is definitely giving us the strength to get through this trial. Thank you all for your continued prayers. They mean the world to us!
In spite of times like this, we can keep our heads lifted high and we don't lose hope. The reason being that Elaine and I have placed our faith in the one true God, Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Jesus doesn't promise a wonderful life, but says those who follow Him will face trials, tribulation, and persecution. We trust that God is in control "and we know that for those who love God all things work together for good" (Romans 8:28a).
Today, if you have not turned from your sin and placed your trust in Jesus Christ alone, Elaine and I urge you to do so immediately. God is holy and righteous and offers the gift of eternal life to those that humble themselves and turn to Jesus Christ, because Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead on your behalf. Thank you again for your prayers. God bless you all.
