- Men wrote the Bible/ Men changed the Bible/ Many translations/ How do you know Christianity is true/ Telephone Game/ Contradictions and errors in Bible
- All of these objections fall into the category of questioning the authority of the Bible. Psalm 119:89 says, “Forever, O Lord, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.” God’s Word was written before the Bible was ever put together. We trust the Scriptures because we trust the one who gave them to us. God authored the Bible and used men to write His words on the paper. The Bible was put together over a period of 1500 years, on 3 different continents, with over 40 different writers, in 3 different languages, yet there are no contradictions and it’s in complete harmony from cover to cover. We trust God’s Word because every promise and prophecy has been fulfilled except for those relating to the end times, because we’re not there yet. The Dead Sea Scrolls prove that the Bible message has been unchanged for thousands of years. The numerous translations are just different ways of conveying the same message.
- 2 Peter 1:20-21 states, “that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
- “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

- That’s just your opinion/ What’s true for you isn’t true for me/ That’s your interpretation/ You can’t know anything for sure
- This line of thinking is called moral relativism. The best way to answer these illogical statements is by using logic. Ask them, “Are you sure we can’t know anything for sure?” or “If my truth contradicts your truth or says your truth is false, which truth is right?” As far as opinions and interpretations are concerned, take them to Scripture. It’s no longer your opinion because the Bible is making the claim and ask them for their interpretation of the passage that they say is only your interpretation.
- Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. (John 17:17)
- Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes. (Proverbs 26:4-5)

- Don’t judge/ Judge not/ Stop judging
- This is a mixture of moral relativism and twisting of Scripture. Turn it back on them by asking, “Why are you judging me?” They might not get it at first, but they are making a judgment against you by their statement. Paul Washer says, “People tell me judge not lest ye be judged. I always tell them, twist not scripture lest ye be like Satan.”
- “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. (Matthew 7:1-5)
- Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment. (John 7:24)

- Many ways to God/ All religion leads to same place/ I’m a(n) different religion
- I would use Scripture to refute this objection because it is authoritative and cuts through to the heart. Other religions may be able to coexist with one another, but biblical Christianity stands alone.
- There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. (Proverbs 14:12)
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)
- And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

- I’m a good person/ God knows my heart/ I’m not a bad person
- These are my favorite objections because it opens the door to take them through some of the 10 Commandments to verify their claim. It can also be beneficial to share verses with them that contradict these objections.
- They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one. (Psalm 14:3)
- The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds. (Jeremiah 17:9-10)

If you are at all familiar with Christian Collegian Network (CCN) and the ministry they do on college campuses across the nation, then you know that these Missionaries in America are fighting on the front lines of a spiritual war. In fact, they’ve gone past the front line and have traversed into enemy territory, usually by themselves, without any cavalry to call for backup! CCN Missionaries are fighting every day to reach countless people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But who are these enemy forces that CCN battles against?
Now that we know about the enemies, we need to ask ourselves, who are CCN Missionaries fighting for?
The only difference in these lists is the General. While CCN may fight a spiritual battle against these people, the Missionaries still love them. They love those on the college campus enough to share the truth of Jesus Christ with them, warning as many as possible about the wrath of God, which “is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men” (Romans 1:18). After all, the Gospel “is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16). God can change the most vile and wicked of hearts into a heart filled with love and compassion for others. In Ezekiel 36:26, God says, “I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” Christian Collegian Network trains their Missionaries on how to share the Gospel biblically and compassionately, without watering down the truth. They have learned how to defend the truth of God’s Word against any and all attacks. These faithful men and women are on college campuses every week, not just sharing the Gospel all over America, but also preparing other Christians for this war through solid Bible teaching. “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. Go your way; behold, I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves” (Luke 10:2-3). The Fall semester at the University of Cincinnati has officially begun and we just had our first Bible Study and outreach for the semester. The theme is "What Does The Bible Say About..." and will address many of the issues that students deal with in our current day and age. The first session was about the Bible and why it even matters what the Bible says about anything. We discussed the authority of the Bible and it's authenticity. Our group was small, compared to other campus groups, but we know that God is in control of who shows up. Zach (student) and Eric (assistant) seemed to enjoy our time together and both intend to return next week. Zach took some flyers to share with others and even joined me after the study to pass out some Gospel tracts. He liked how easy it was to share the Gospel with "paper missionaries!" Please keep this ministry in your prayers as we seek to reach many souls for Christ and help Christians to grow in their faith! May God be glorified! |
